Packaging & selling my first Start-Up
In 2015 while still studying my Diploma, I decided to create a passion project on the side. I had never even considered how much time, money & thought I would end spending on my new little start-up, but ignorance was bliss and at the beginning 2016 'Ground:Up Skin Co.' was launched.
In a short space of 18 months, my little start up went from 0-100 real quick, and I'm talking in dollars! 100K Revenue in it's first 12 months was phenomenal but what was more valuable than the sales was the first-hand experience I gained from creating my first start-up.
Following the sale of the business in 2017 to a dear friend, I am hoping to use my insights & experience with this 'passion project' to add value to my clients design & focus a lot more on creating fantastic, successful online Shopify stores just like Ground:Up Skin Co.
Contributing to the success of the Brand was my ability to go completely crazy with the packaging design. I had no-one to answer to, no briefs to follow, I had complete freedom to design my packaging any way I saw fit. The current packaging designs are fresh, modern & definitely speaks (no, shouts!) to the demographic of women aged 25-34.
